The largest tech conference in Central Asia TechConnect.Tech to take place in Kazakhstan

On November 12th Astana will host the largest tech conference in Central Asia TechConnect.Tech. The conference, held in the capital of Kazakhstan, will gather 150 investors, founders of the 150 best startups and 1,500 visitors from Central Asia, the United States, Europe and the CIS. 45 world experts in venture capital investment and innovation have been invited to speaker at TechConnect.Tech, including Kaushal Chokshi (Cross Border Angels, an international investment network), March Emerson (venture fund Scaale Group) and Igor Shoifot (venture fund TMT Investments).

Innovative strategies of business development will be shared by world-renowned experts in marketing and social media including Martin Shervington, bestselling author of "The Lean Entrepreneur" Brant Cooper and others. You can find more information about the speakers here.

In addition to thematic panels and presentations there will be exclusive meetings with the Prime Minister and government officials of Kazakhstan, heads of the largest local companies and IT-entrepreneurs from Europe and the CIS. 150 startups from Europe, the USA, the CIS and Central Asia will present their projects at the Expo Zone.

The main prize of the conference $25000 will be received by a winning team of the Startup Battle. Any startup can apply on this page to participate in the Battle. A professional jury will select the 10 best projects to receive free flights and accommodation in Astana as well as pitch-training sessions by mentors from Silicon Valley. Ninety startups will also be selected for an opportunity to showcase their projects at the conference free of charge. Furthermore, the organizers will provide a 70% discount for accommodation in partner-hotels in Astana.

The event is organized by the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Agency for Technological Development, the President’s Bolashak International Scholarship Association Fellows and international business accelerator Happy Farm.
