Happy Farm organized the US internship for its 5 startups as part of a 5-month Accelerating Program. Business incubator startups and representatives are in Silicon Valley from January 27th through February 27th. The main goals of the US internship are effective networking, attracting investment and establishing partnerships.
Happy Farm team and the startups have already visited a lot of conferences and networking events in Silicon Valley – among them The Crunchies 2012, International Founder ASK Party, Startup Grind, SF Beta :: DeveloperWeek Edition, Vator Splash. They also visited Dave McClure and 500 Startups and pitched their projects, visited Microsoft, Google, Apple, Facebook, Evernote etc, had a lot of private meetings with venture capitalists, potential investors and business partners, found new mentors and advisors. Participation in DemoDays, attending seminars and visits to Stanford and UC Berkeley also formed part of the internship program.
Moreover, Happy Farm organized two own networking events in the US “Falling in Love with Ukrainian Startups” in nestGSV on February 14th and “Start Ukraine Up” in Runway Incubator on February 18th which gathered in general more than 200 people – startup founders, potential partners and investors and all those who are interested in startups from the emerging markets.
